OK, bed time.

Had a dream about an ex BF of mine, Marty, whom I haven't seen since his Wedding. (yep, I went to my exes wedding, hehe done it a few times actually) geeze, has to be 10 years now?

But, it made me really want to find him. The problem is, I can't remember his middle name! I must have his first name, last name, and Birthday. I might spend more time online and try to find it myself. I don't think I will spend $ to find him, I just would like to know how he's doing. Still Married? Kids? etc.. Just weird to think about him for the first time in years.

Made me feel kinda lonely. I think its time to find someone of my own.

ok so like i started sculpting my dragon all weekend, and i am not very far lol but i figured i would post some wip.

i am using Chavant NSP Medium to sculpt the head and it's great clay. i have been using my heat gun to heat up to clay so it's easier to push around but... i am experimenting with detail on the face of the dragon for texture and i know you can brush water over the texture to soften and smooth it out. but it's not really working, i tried alcohol too and it's not really doing much either.... so like does anyone know what will work ?

anyways here is the side of the head i have farther along, time to move over to the other side. the holes are where the spikes and horns are going.

well this will be my first post but i have been watching this place for a while now.

anyways recently i have gotten the bite to work on something different.so with halloween coming closer i was thinking i could try and make a latex mask! but reading more and more i started to think...hmm might be cool to try silicone! ah ha so i pretty much have done every kind of reading and research to kill a small army. i have the material ( nice hole in my wallet) so now it's time to dive in.


first of all i want to make the face of the dragon out of silicone, then make the horns out of liquid plastic. now my next question is: has anyone used liquid plastic before? i haven't and i really haven't read up on it.

now the head i am thinking there will be a *skin* of silicone and i will have a rigid "skull" underneith instead of the usual tight to my face sort of silicone mask. most of this is just in the planning stages anyways.

i am also looking to see if anyone has done any sculpting of scaley critters if they could give some advice on how they created the texture. i my self own many reptiles and recently my biggest shed! so i am currently experimenting to see if i can get some texture stamps from them. but it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone has any advice.

well enough babble if i come up with anything worth to show i'll be sure to post!

These are some photos of a Sasquatch Mascot Costume as it was being created for a client. I used a sewn fabric body suit underneath to give it some shape so that even a skinny person could wear it and look good. The head was made from molded polyurethane foam and latex. The hands and over-sized feet were also latex. Synthetic acrylic fur was glued to the face and head with hot glue and the face was airbrushed with a Paasche airbrush using acrylic paint. On the face, you can see the pins holding on the eyebrows while the placement was figured out...
